Strong prices again. Prices shown as realised need 20% adding for fees… this is one of my least favourite heads but seems I'm in the minority 5 Sov 63UC 2 Sov 66Cam

Really nice @Jaconet, great grades! I do have a soft spot for a 1902 proof in any size. They are lovely in hand. I don’t think it was the intention to pass over the double in terms of forum setup, more so just trying to keep the front end looking clean and uncertainty if the 5 sovereign would have enough footfall initially to warrant it being out on its own. Not that my collection of doubles is comparable to yours, but you know I do like them and i agree they do show the design off well! Im sure @Shaun will look at the arrangement when he can, another thing for his list 😄 @Jaconet suggest sticking a request in the suggestions sub forum so it doesn't get missed 👍

“English Pattern Trial and Proof Coins in Gold 1547-1976” Due out at the end of the month (30/11) for anyone interested in English gold patterns … who isn't 😄, it’ll be beautiful im sure. Cheapest place I found it on pre-order was Foyles at £30 inc delivery but I see they've bumped it to £50 now. Probably worth hunting around to see if there is anywhere else selling it ‘cheap’.

A sub-forum dedicated to the discussion of half sovereigns. Half sovereigns, both proof and bullion have seen an explosion in interest in recent years and prices have reflected that. Some fairly argue it can only continue for these often very rare and beautiful coins.

But like everywhere else in the TGS community, please be respectful, swearing, spamming, posting illicit or inappropriate content etc is unnecessary and simply won't be accepted. If you spot something please report it so it can be removed.
