General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Unless to comply with GDPR, TGS will at its sole discretion delete active or inactive user accounts and / or content. By accessing this community, users are opting to submit material or content on to a publicly accessible website.
If you wish to delete your account, all your personal data will be removed and all posts will be assigned to an anonymous user account to comply with GDPR. Alternatively, you may wish to deactivate your account as this would allow you to reactivate your account at some point using the same username.
We take your privacy and security very seriously. The Staff area of the forum login is encrypted and requires two factor authentications. Your email address used for registration is not publicly visible, though Administrators and Moderators can view this.
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your explicit permission or are required by law to do so.
You may request a copy of any personal information that we hold on you. You may also request that we delete all information that we hold on you should you wish to close your account and no longer be a member of TGS. We can delete this information upon request only when your account has not been banned, required to retain it by law.
TGS requires the following information for you to have a user account:
- Your name/username
- Email address
- Known IP addresses
- Known devices
- Opt in details and customer data
TGS will retain personal information in order to confirm that the relationship existed, or in order to respond to any arising legal claims. Any such information retained will be reviewed at regular intervals and eventually deleted at the point it is no longer necessary to retain this personal information.
