George IV
Much like the George III Sovereign, this gold Sovereign features the popular St. George design. Instead of a lance though, George displays a sword on this Sovereign. The coin also displays a neoclassical portrait of George IV with a laurel wreath. To the sides, the initials of Benedetto Pistrucci are present underneath the bust of King George.
The second design of the sovereign would show a more pronounced legend and would remove St. George in favour of the Hannoverian coat of arms. The bust of George also shows him bareheaded as opposed to a wreath such as in the previous sovereign.
